Ontem, em seu site, a revista “Rolling Stone” publicou a sua lista dos “100 Maiores Bateristas de Todos os Tempos”. Segundo os editores da revista: “a avaliação levou em conta os pequenos detalhes, as nuances e a musicalidade, além da capacidade de ajudar na execução de uma ótima música, mais do que atrapalhar um show com um solo bobo”.

Na matéria, a revista explica: “Usamos o rock e o pop como rubrica; portanto, o trabalho de um baterista precisava impactar diretamente esse mundo para fazer parte da lista. Isso significou deixar de fora dezenas de artistas essenciais do jazz, como Max Roach e Roy Haynes, cujas inovações inspiraram muitos dos presentes na lista”.
